Nestled among 13 acres of oak and pine forest in Northeast Oklahoma, Whimsy Waypoint was created with one simple mission: to bring imagination back into travel. What began as a quiet piece of land soon became a collection of storybook realms—each designed to spark wonder, connection, and unforgettable memories.
Guided by our playful mascot Whimsy, we transformed the property into a micro-resort of four uniquely themed cabins: the treetop adventure of Castaway Treescape, the frontier charm of Stumble Rock Inn, the prehistoric fun of Bedrock Grotto, and the patriotic spirit of Mission Base. Every space is crafted to immerse guests in a world of creativity and to encourage families and friends to reconnect in meaningful ways.
Here at Whimsy Waypoint, we believe that great getaways aren’t just about where you stay, but how you feel while you’re there. That’s why everything—from our trails and firepit to the personality-filled touches in each cabin—is designed to turn simple moments & memories into the Magic & Memories that last a lifetime.

Future Cabins(Bedrock Grotto and Castaway Treescape) will be open for bookings as construction progresses and is completed. These cabins are very detailed in Theme and will not be rushed… As you know, construction/weather delays can happen. We desire to have the units be the best they can be for our future guests. Please be patient as we move forward with each cabin. Updates will be posted to our Social Media at Facebook and Instagram. We will also send out emails to guests who have Prebooked or become Founding Members.
We’re nestled on 13 secluded acres in Vinita, Oklahoma, near Grand Lake and the historic Route 66 corridor.
As a Founding Adventurer, you purchase Founder Stay Credit that can be applied toward a future stay at Whimsy Waypoint. This credit grants you early booking access, priority selection, and exclusive founder-only perks once the booking calendar opens.

Absolutely! Our cabins are designed for families, couples, and groups who love creativity and adventure.
All realms/cabins will welcome pets, details will be shared before launch.
Guests enjoy private soaking tub, fire pits, hiking trails, Whimsy Waters pond, and access to the Chimney Commons gathering area among the trees. All cabins have Heat and A/C!
At this time Whimsy Waypoint is NOT ADA/Wheelchair accessible. If you do not have a large mobility issue, we do have a few steps to get into most cabins. Walkers or canes should be ok for access. As we move forward we do plan on adding units that are more accessible. Thank you.
