At Whimsy Waypoint, your group can book Mission Base and Stumble Rock Inn together, creating a private two-cabin getaway for up to 10 guests near Grand Lake, Vinita, and historic Route 66.
It’s an ideal setup for two couples traveling together, families sharing a getaway, or a multigenerational group that wants to spend time together without squeezing everyone beneath one roof.
You get two separate cabins, two distinct experiences, and plenty of room to retreat at the end of the day.

Part military outpost, part secluded woodland escape, Mission Base sleeps up to four and brings a playful dose of patriotic adventure to your stay.
Sergeant Whimsy may technically outrank you, but your orders aren’t particularly demanding: explore, soak, grill something delicious, sit around the fire, and stand down for a while.
THEN RIDE INTO STUMBLE ROCK INN
A short distance away, trade fatigues for frontier spirit at Stumble Rock Inn, sleeping up to six.
Located in Whimsy Waypoint’s Town of Sawdust, this Old West hideaway is Sheriff Whimsy’s territory, filled with rustic character, Western nostalgia, and considerably more comfort than the original frontier ever offered.

This is where booking the two cabins really shines.
Start the morning together over coffee. Head out for a day at Grand Lake or Route 66. Gather again for dinner, games, a walk through the woods, or an evening around the fire.
Then everyone can retreat to their own cabin.
Both cabins offer the comforts that make staying in almost as tempting as going out, including private outdoor soaking tubs, fire pits, BBQ grills, kitchens, heating and A/C, and their own outdoor spaces.
Around the property, you’ll also have access to Whimsy Waypoint’s wooded walking trails, Whimsy Waters swimming hole, and Chimney Commons, our shared gathering area with games, seating, and space to reconnect.
And yes, well-behaved furry travelers are welcome, subject to our pet fee and house rules.
